Title: The Electronic Health Record: Past, Present, Future, and the Impact on the Clinical
          Laboratory
Objectives: Discuss the drivers for change which are leading the implementation of EHR
                    systems
                    Discuss the challenges in implementing an EHR system
                    Describe the laboratory component of an EHR system and ways in which lab
                    professionals can be involved in the design, implementation, and ongoing
                    maintenance of the system
                    Discuss the future role of lab information system specialists as the health care
                    world becomes more integrated.

3. The deadline for early registration is April 9, 2010. Individuals registering after April 9, 2010 will be charged an additional late or “on-site” registration fee of $10.00.
4. Both sessions have been approved for PACE accreditation. ASCLS-PA is an approved provider of C.E. programs by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. Program.
5. Confirmation of registrations will be emailed to each registrant except for those registrations received after the deadline.
